ANZ names Michael Peric and Trevor Vail as Markets co-managing directors
Peric and Vail report to Mark Whelan, group executive Institutional at ANZ.
ANZ has appointed Michael Peric and Trevor Vail as co-managing directors, Markets.
Peric and Vail have been jointly leading ANZ’s Markets business in an acting capacity since September 2025, the Australian bank said in a press release. The two will continue to be based in Sydney and Singapore, respectively.
Peric and Vail report to Mark Whelan, group executive Institutional at ANZ.
Peric leads ANZ’s global balance sheet trading business, a role he has occupied since 2021. He has previously held senior positions at Lloyds, National Australia Bank, and the Bank of New Zealand.
Vail, meanwhile, has worked at ANZ for 13 years and was most recently head of markets Australia and the head of rates and credit trading. He had previously worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland.
ANZ has the largest Markets business amongst Australian banks, it said, with Singapore as a major hub. The ANZ Institutional business has a global network of almost 30 markets.
