
ANZ’s Markets MD Anshul Sidher departs from the bank
Michael Peric and Trevor Vail have been tasked to temporarily lead the markets business.
ANZ’s Anshul Sidher has stepped down from the role of managing director, markets effective 10 September 2025 to “pursue other opportunities.”
Sidher first joined the bank 13 years ago. He previously led the global trading team before being appointed to lead the bank’s global markets business in August 2023.
The bank has appointed Michael Peric and Trevor Vail to jointly lead the markets business whilst a global search for a new MD takes place.
Peric is the current ANZ global head of balance sheet trading, whilst Vail is head of markets, Australia.
Both Peric and Vail will join ANZ’s institutional leadership team. They report to Mark Whelan, ANZ group executive, institutional.
