Citi launches Korea desk in Chicago to back Korean firms’ US expansion

Citi Korea opened its first Korea desk in New York in 1993.

Citi has launched a Citi Korea Desk in Chicago, Illinois, USA to provide financial support for Korean corporate clients entering the North American market.

The Korea desk operates through close collaboration between Citi professionals with deep expertise in the local financial environment, and Citi Korea bankers, who bring long-standing experience serving Korean corporate clients, the bank said.

Chicago is a hub for manufacturing and logistics in the US Midwest, Citi said, making it a gateway connecting markets throughout North America.

Citi Korea opened its first Korea Desk in New York in 1993. The new desk adds to existing Korea desks in London, Prague, Dubai, Singapore, New York, Warsaw, Chennai, Hong Kong, Atlanta and Monterrey.
