Citi names Goldman Sachs banker as head of markets solutions in Asia South & North

Chan spent 10 years as head of FICC and equity distribution for SEA at GS.

Citi Markets announced that Christopher Chan has been named head of markets solutions for financial institutions for Asia South and Asia North.

Beginning July 2025, Chan will be responsible for driving the overall strategy of Citi Markets to provide hedging, financing, and investment solutions for Citi’s financial institutions clients in its Markets business.

Chan brings 28 years of experience across markets and DCM into his new role.

He joins from Goldman Sachs, where he spent 10 years as head of FICC and equity distribution for Southeast Asia, and board member of Goldman Sachs Singapore.

He has held multiple senior banking roles in Deutsche Bank, Nomura, and Goldman Sachs.
