Changi Pay joins Alipay+ ecosystem, can now be used to pay in China

New users who top up S$50 will receive S$40 off iShopChangi purchases.

Singapore residents can now use the Changi Pay digital wallet to scan and pay for purchases whilst visiting China.

In a press release, Changi Airport Group (CAG), Liquid Group, and Ant Group announced that Changi Pay has joined the Alipay+ ecosystem.

Changi Pay was first launched in 2021 by CAG in partnership with Liquid Group.

Users will enjoy attractive exchange rates and avoid incurring transaction fees that are often charged for overseas credit card transactions, CAG said.
