
DBS names new group heads of corporate & SME arm, operations
Chen Ze Ling and Welson Jamin will take over the roles, respectively.
DBS has named a new group head of corporate and SME banking and group head of operations.
Chen Ze Ling will take over the role of group head of corporate and SME banking, effective 1 April. He is currently the Singapore head of corporate banking.
Welson Jamin, who is presently head of IBG operations and international centres technology & operations, will be appointed group head of operations effective on the same day.
He will report to Derrick Goh, who will assume the role of group chief operating officer effective the same day.
Chen, meanwhile, will report to Han Kwee Juan, group head of institutional banking (IBG).
Chen brings over 20 years of experience in banking. He has been with DBS since 2008 and has held several roles in the IBG. Prior to his current role, he was most recently country head of DBS Australia. He was also a key member of the founding team which established DBS’ Australia Branch in 2015.
Jamin, meanwhile, has 25 years of technology and operations experience with DBS.
In his current role, he has been instrumental in driving organisational transformation across 14 locations covering more than 2,000 operations professionals, DBS said.
