
Hang Seng Bank names former HSBC Hong Kong chief CEO
She will also chair the Operating Committee.
Hang Seng Bank has appointed Luanne Lim as Executive Director and CEO, effective 20 October.
She will also chair the Operating Committee and serve as a member of the Nomination Committee.
Lim succeeds Diana Cesar, who will step down on the same day and return to The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation as Vice Chairman for Hong Kong, advising HSBC’s Co-CEOs for Asia and the Middle East.
Lim, 51, was previously CEO of HSBC Hong Kong from 2022 to 2025.
She has also held senior roles within HSBC in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the National University of Singapore.
According to Hang Seng, Lim will receive fixed annual remuneration of $1.09m (HK$8.5m), along with a discretionary bonus and other executive benefits.
