The app falsely uses the Hang Seng Bank logo.

Hang Seng Bank has warned of a new phishing scam through a fake mobile investment application that falsely uses its logo.

“Hang Seng Bank and the Bank’s subsidiaries have no association with this application,” the bank said in a statement.

In a press release, the Hong Kong-based bank warned that the app may be used to lure individuals into “fraudulent investment schemes.”

It further advised individuals not to download or install the app and reminded customers to make investments through registered investment institutions.
