Hong Kong total credit card receivables down 2.5% to $19.03b in Q2

This is slower than the 5.8% decline recorded in Q1 2025, official data showed.

Total card receivables of Hong Kong-issued credit cards declined 2.5% to $19.03b (HK$149b) in the second quarter of 2025, according to data from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).

This is slower than the 5.8% decrease in Q1 2025.

The combined delinquent and rescheduled ratio was 0.45% at end-June, compared to 0.42% in end-March.

The quarterly charge-off ratio was 0.64%, the survey found, compared to 0.61% in the previous quarter.
