KPay, Global Payments launch ‘Tap to Pay on iPhone’ service

Merchants can accept contactless payments using an iPhone XS or a later model.

KPay and Global Payments now enables merchants to accept in-person contactless payments via the “Tap to Pay on iPhone” service.

Under this, merchants in Hong Kong can accept all forms of contactless payments using an iPhone and either the KPay or Global Payments iOS app. There is no need for additional hardware or payment terminals to be installed.

Contactless payment acceptance can be made on an iPhone XS or a later model running the latest version of the iOS.

Contactless payments supported include credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets.

It also supports PIN entry, whilst the payment uses NFC technology for security.
