ShopBack Pay officially launches in Hong Kong

Octopus has added it as a payment option.

ShopBack Pay is officially available in Hong Kong, with Octopus onboarding it as a payment option.

Customers can use ShopBack Pay to earn and redeem cashback in-store at the point of purchase, according to a press release on 13 October 2025.

ShopBack Pay joins Octopus’ roster of payment options that include Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Octopus is one of Hong Kong’s most widely adopted payment methods, with a reported 98% penetration rate.

ShopBack, parent company of ShopBack Pay, first entered Hong Kong in 2022 with its online cashback product. Its partners include Taobao, Agoda, Klook, foodbanda, and iHerb, amongst others.

Over a million ShopBack users in Hong Kong have earned a cumulative HK$300m in cashback from their online purchases, the shopping and rewards platform said in a press release.
