Ashraf butters up to Zardar, declares $24.14M profit
Zarai Taraqiati Bank made an unprecedented recovery during the previous year with an increase in profit by US$24.14 million from approximately US$6 million in the previous year.
ZTBL president Zaka Ashraf revealed the good news during a ceremony held in Zonal Office, as he took a swipe at the previous administration, saying its "ill-planned measures caused tremendous damage to agriculture and the economy."
At the same time, Ashraf buttered up to Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardar, whom he said has paved the way for development and progress of the country and whose visionary policies strengthened democracy while following the footsteps of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed and Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.
Ashraf also called upon bank employees to strive hard to achieve the Bank’s new initiatives to make the institution more viable economically.
ZTBL is the prime source for provision of technology and agriculture implements and Ashraf stated that the bank will continue to revolutionise the agriculture sector by progressive introduction of innovative agriculture technology.
