83% of StanChart SG employees are in hybrid work arrangements

The bank covered $5.09m in costs in April 2021 to help employees set up home offices.

Standard Chartered has revealed that 83% of its Singapore employees are in a hybrid work arrangement in its ‘Future Workplace Now’ (FWN) programme.

Under the FWN programme, employees of Standard Chartered may choose to work from the office, at home, or at any of the International Workplace Group locations across Singapore, if their roles permit them to do so.

Around 61% of employees in Singapore had already chosen to work from the office two to three days a week and the rest of the time working from home. Standard Chartered covered nearly $$5.09m (S$7m) in cost in April 2021 to help employees set up home offices via a one-time net payment of $727.10 (S$1,000).

“We recognised several changes and new initiatives had to be made, given the changing nature and requirements of working in the post-pandemic world, and are focused on investing in the best environment and tools for our employees. We continue to listen to our employees’ needs and seek ways to offer the best employee experience in Singapore so that they can flourish at work and deliver the best for our clients and communities,” Charlotte Thng, Head of Human Resources, Singapore, Australia & ASEAN Markets of Standard Chartered Bank said.
