ANZ to roll out energy ratings option for energy performance evaluation

It will help homeowners identify opportunities for upgrades that will reduce bills.

ANZ Bank has joined a trail aimed at helping Australian homeowners save on energy bills.

The Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) will provide energy ratings that will reportedly help Australian households better understand their home’s energy performance.

It will also identify opportunities for upgrades that will reduce energy bills, ANZ Bank said in an announcement on its website.

Under the trial, select ANZ customers applying to refinance or top up their mortgage will be invited to take part and will receive a free home energy rating trial certificate, helping them to identify where efficiencies and cost-savings can be made.

ANZ is commencing the trial in collaboration with the government, Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO, and property valuation firms, Opteon & Herron Todd White.
