Bank of East Asia taps Bi Ming-qiang as deputy chief executive
He brings 27 years of experience in the banking sector.
The Bank of East Asia (BEA) has appointed Bi Ming-qiang as deputy chief executive, effective 5 December.
In this role, Bi will oversee the group's wholly-owned subsidiary, The Bank of East Asia (China) Limited, and advance its cross-boundary business objectives under the OneBank initiative.
Bi brings 27 years of experience in the banking sector, having held senior management positions in financial institutions across China, Hong Kong, and overseas.
Before joining BEA, he served as executive director, president, and CEO of China CITIC Bank International Limited and as chairman of CITIC Bank International (China) Limited.
Bi holds a bachelor's degree in management information systems and electronics and computer science, a master's degree in econometrics from Tsinghua University, and a doctorate in finance from Renmin University of China.
