Citi Hong Kong launches program for women seeking work after career break

Successful candidates will be placed in a range of roles based on experience and skill set.

Citi has launched Return to Work, a hiring program for women in Hong Kong who wish to transition back to working after a career break.

The program is open to all female talents who have been on a career break for two years or longer and are looking to join the financial services industry.

“Through this program, we want to attract women who are planning to return to the workforce after taking a career break.  They are one of the greatest untapped talent pools and we want to support their transition back to work and further career advancement,” said Angel Ng, Asia Pacific head of Citi Global Wealth and CEO for Citi Hong Kong & Macau.

Successful candidates will be placed in a range of roles across different departments based on their experience and skillsets. They will first go through a six-month structured program to help them transition back into the workplace, before being assigned a mentor and a buddy to ensure that they have all the support needed during the transition phase.

The program covers orientation and onboarding; career development planning; soft and professional skills training; and regular check-ins with senior managers.

“We welcome women from varying backgrounds and levels of experience to apply. We believe that hiring people from different backgrounds with diverse perspectives brings immense benefits to our teams and organization,’ Ng added.

Application period for the Return to Work program begins on 12 May.
