DBS names new Singapore country head, group head of IBG
Han Kwee Juan and Lin Him Chuan will take over their new roles on 1 Jan 2025.
DBS has made two new senior appointments– a new country head and group head of institutional banking (IBG).
Han Kwee Juan will take over as group head of institutional banking (IBG), replacing Tan Su Shan, who will take over as group CEO in 2025.
Lim Him Chuan, meanwhile, will take over as Singapore country head.
Both Han and Lim will continue to be members of DBS’ Group Executive Committee and report to DBS CEO Piyush Gupta.
Before becoming group head of IBG, Han has led the DBS Singapore franchise since 2023. He first joined DBS in 2019 after spending 27 years at Citigroup, where he was last CEO of Citi Singapore.
Lim is currently the group head of Group Head of Strategy, Transformation, Analytics & Research (GSTAR). In this role, he is tasked with driving the ongoing transformation agenda of DBS, including the institutionalisation of Artificial Intelligence and Gen AI.
From 2018 to 2023, Lim was CEO of DBS Bank Taiwan, and helped lead the successful acquisition of Citi Taiwan’s consumer banking business.
