EON Capital obtains approval for new directors

Bank Negara affirms EON shareholder’s appointment of 7 independent directors last Friday.

EON Capital Bhd on Friday received Bank Negara Malaysia's approval for the seven new independent directors appointed by shareholders at the extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held on March 15.

The directors are Tengku Datuk Ahmad Faisal bin Tengku Ibrahim, Tengku Azman ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar, Datuk Haron bin Siraj, Dr. Zaha Rina Binti Zahari, Nicholas John Lough @ Sharif Lough bin Abdullah, Ahmad Riza bin Basir and Wee Hoe Soon @ Gooi Hoe Soon.

heir appointments were subject to Bank Negara's approval, EON Capital said in a statement.

Bank Negara also advised in its letter to EON Capital, that the appointments would take effect from Mar. 26.
