Hang Seng warns customers of faux Instagram account

This is the fifth time in May that Hang Seng Bank warned of a fake account.

Hang Seng Bank has issued another alert regarding a fake account posing as the bank, this time an Instagram account.

The fraudulent account is using the bank’s title under the account name @dia_aoi with the domain name:

  • https[:]//instagram[.]com/dia_aoi?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Hang Seng told the public that it is not affiliated with such an account and to be cautious of clicking any links or sharing any information.

Since the start of May, this has been the fifth alert the bank released regarding scam messages, deceptive websites and false accounts.

It pressed that it will never request clients to access their e-banking or other log-in details.

If individuals receive phishing SMS messages or emails related to these fraudulent websites, they are told to forward the concern to the bank’s official email phishing@hangseng(dot)com and delete the messages afterwards.
