HSBC Singapore announces new board of directors

Their appointments is effective starting 4 April.

Sam Liew and Colin Bell have been appointed as new directors to the board of HSBC Bank (Singapore).

Liew is presently the managing partner of the government strategic business group at Singtel NCS Group. Here, he is in charge of more than 6,000 technologists across the public service, defense and homeland security business in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region.

Bell, meanwhile, is the CEO of HSBC Bank plc and HSBC Europe. He has been with HSBC since July 2016 and was  group managing director in March 2017.

Bell also took the role of group chief compliance officer up until February 2021. Previously, he was head of compliance and operational risk control at UBS.

Both directors will start their new responsibilities on 4 April.
