Maybank to establish banking presence in Thailand

Maybank hopes to complete its regional expansion in Southeast Asia by establishing a domestic retail and commercial banking presence in Thailand.

According to Maybank president and CEO Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar, the bank's presence in Thailand is limited to be the number one brokerage in that country, through Maybank Kim Eng. He noted that it will be great if we can have a domestic retail and commercial banking presence in Thailand.

Maybank is present in all South-East Asian economies except Laos.
