Sumitomo Mitsui unveil Grantee Introduction Services

Customers will be connected to entities and institutions that support education.

Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group has launched the Grantee Introduction Services, which aims to increase fund flows for activities that address and solve social issues.

Under this, SMFG will connect customers— primarily affluent individuals with high interest in social issues and sustainable activities— with non-profit organizations (NPOs), public interest corporations, and educational institutions that support the foundation of education in Japan.

SMBC Nikko Securities Inc. is also in the process of introducing the services in due course.

The new service comes on the back of SMFG’s launching of Philanthropy Advisory Services in November 2024.

The advisory services aim to support the realization of customers' aspirations and execution of donations aimed at contributing to society and solving social issues.
