UOB Malaysia wants more privilege banking customers

Bank targets additional 4,000 elite customers by year-end and total of 50,000 by end of 2015.

United Overseas Bank Malaysia Bhd aims to increase its privilege banking customer base to 22,000 clients by year-end from its current customer base of 18,000 clients.

Senior Vice President and Senior Head Personnel Financial Services Division Tay Han Chong said the bank also aimed to increase the privilege banking customer base to 50,000 clients by end 2015.

"We should be able to double our customer base with the re-launch of the enhanced Privilege Banking service. We want to add value to our clients," he told reporters after the re-launch of the bank's 12-year old privilege banking platform here Tuesday.

The Privilege Banking service catered for elite clients and was an enhanced platform aimed to provide superior experience and privilege access to exclusive suite of financial solutions and rewards.
