ZA Bank appoints Calvin Ng as CEO

Ng has been its executive director since September 2022.

ZA Bank has named Calvin Ng as its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective 27 March.

Ng has served as the Hong Kong-based digital bank’s executive director since September 2022.

Ronald Iu has stepped down as ZA Bank’s CEO and executive director.

Ng is a founding member of ZA Bank, playing a key role from applying for a digital bank licence in Hong Kong to its official launch.

ZA Bank, licensed by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority in 2019, is Hong Kong's first digital bank. It has over 800,000 users as of 30 June 2024.

It is reportedly Asia’s first Asia’s first licensed bank to offer cryptocurrency trading services to retail investors, with a “comprehensive regulatory framework for virtual assets and are members of FATF.”
