Sarasin appoints Michael Coglin Chief Investment Officer Asia
Harvard-educated Coglin has 20 years of experience in providing exceptional private banking services to clients.
Bank Sarasin & Co. Ltd has named Michael Coglin as a Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer, Asia, based in Hong Kong. Coglin reports directly to Enid Yip, Chief Executive Officer, Asia on a regional basis, and to Burkhard Varnholt, Head of the Asset Management, Products and Sales Division, Chief Investment Officer and a member of the Executive Committee, on a functional basis.
Coglin has more than 20 years’ experience in senior private banking, asset management and capital market roles. He joins Sarasin from Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, where he had worked since 2001. While with Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, Coglin has focused on investment solutions, heading International Global Investment Solutions and Product Management and Investment Solutions. He has a strong track record in identifying compelling investment opportunities.

Michael Coglin
Michael Coglin is a UK citizen. He joined Sarasin from Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, where he had worked since 2001. Previously he gained experience with Barclays Capital, JP Morgan, National Westminster Bank, and Goldman Sachs and has worked in London, New York, Singapore, Tokyo, Doha, and Geneva. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University.
