Citi names new co-heads for capital markets and advisory in ANZ
The appointments coincide with the retirement of Tony Osmond.
Citi Australia and New Zealand has appointed Ben Connolly and Philippe Perzi as Co-heads of Capital Markets and Advisory, pending regulatory approval.
Connolly, currently managing director and head of Real Estate for Citi in Australia and New Zealand, has over 18 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions across Australia, Europe, and the UK.

Perzi joins Citi from Goldman Sachs, where he served as managing director and head of the Financial Institutions Group, bringing over 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and leveraged finance solutions.

Both executives will be based in Sydney and report to Jan Metzger, Citi’s head of Investment Banking for Asia Pacific, and locally to Mark Woodruff, Citi Australia CEO.
The appointments coincide with the retirement of Tony Osmond, Vice Chair for Japan, Australia, and North Asia, after a long career at Citi.
Osmond, who joined the bank in 2010 as head of Banking, Capital Markets, and Advisory for Australia and New Zealand, will remain until 2026 to support the transition to new leadership.
