Hang Seng Bank warns customers of fraudulent Facebook accounts, links, and websites

Customers are advised to report any suspicious emails, messages, accounts, or websites claiming to be Hang Seng Bank.

Hang Seng warns the public of a recent fraudulent Hang Seng Bank Facebook account with an embedded link ‘hxxps://hangseng[.]web-hk-logiin[.]com’ and a specific clickable link, ‘hxxps://hangseng[.]apply-hk[.]com’.

These links may redirect users to fraudulent websites and a WhatsApp account. The fake Facebook account and related links using the bank’s logo ask users to provide personal and e-banking login information to buy products or services on fraudulent websites.

Hang Seng declares no affiliation with these accounts and websites. Its only official websites are www.hangseng.com and www.hangseng.com.cn.

Customers are advised to report any suspicious emails, SMS, Facebook accounts, or websites claiming to be Hang Seng Bank to [email protected] and delete them afterwards.
