HSBC Global Private Banking names Kapil Khanna as desk head for three markets

Khanna was head of international investment counselling in HSBC.

HSBC Global Private Banking has appointed Kapil Khanna as desk head for Australia, Japan, and International, effective 14 July 2025.

Khanna is tasked with leading the growth and client coverage strategy in these key markets.

Originally for Australia, Khanna is expected to bring his expertise in managing ultra high net worth (UHNW) client relationships across APAC and EMEA, HSBC said in a press release.

He began his career as an investment banker in Sydney.

Prior to his new role, Khanna was head of international investment counselling at HSBC. He has also held the role of UHNW investment counsellor and cluster head.

Khanna will be based in Singapore.
