
HSBC Global Private Banking scales up SEA and Australia teams
It has appointed Joanne Ng as new desk head for its Singapore team.
HSBC Global Private Banking (GPB) has announced three new senior appointments in Southeast Asia and Australia.
Joanne Ng, Tim Morse, and Tom Kinnear are the latest three to join the GPB team.
Joanne Ng has been named desk head for the Singapore team. She joins from OCBC Premier Private Client, and has 22 years of experience in the field.
In HSBC, Ng will lead a team of relationship managers in Singapore serving high net worth (HNW) clients.
Tim Morse is named as senior business development manager, joining HSBC GPB in Australia in August 2025.
Morse has prior leadership roles at Citi, J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank, and will be in charge of collaborations between HSBC’s onshore franchises and offshore private banking teams.
Finally, Tom Kinnear has joined as relationship manager (RM) covering Australia and International markets, reporting to Kapil Khanna.
Other notable appointments are new relationship managers in Indonesia and Malaysia.
Le Hong Sie joins the Indonesia team as a senior relationship manager. She brings over 30 years of experience at HSBC in Indonesia across multiple Corporate and Institutional Banking roles, and now transitions into private banking coverage from Singapore.
Leonard Eggert also joins the Indonesia team as a relationship manager. He worked at KfW prior to joining HSBC.
In Malaysia, Rayner Wong joins HSBC from Julius Baer, and Samuel Chi Hao Kee from HSBC Premier. Both take on relationship manager roles.
