HSBC Private Bank rolls out gen AI platform for wealth management staff
It summarises the bank’s research reports and external news feed.
HSBC Private Bank has launched Wealth Intelligence, a generative AI-powered ecosystem, for its client-facing staff, investment counsellors, and product specialists.
First rolled out in Hong Kong and Singapore, Wealth Intelligence is powered by OpenAI’s large language model (LLM) to give market insights and personalised investment strategies.
It is designed to analyse and summarise the bank’s research reports and external news feed, currently comprising over 10,000 data sources, the bank said in a press release on 16 September 2025.
In the next stage, Wealth Intelligence is expected to be capable of screening and identifying suitable products for the bank’s wealth management teams to discuss investment options and asset allocation recommendations with clients.
HSBC expects to roll-out Wealth Intelligence to more markets in the future.
“Riding on our deep institutional knowledge and experience, our wealth management teams can now leverage these AI capabilities to spare more time to attend to our clients’ unique investment objectives and portfolio optimisation needs,” said Gabriel Castello, CEO, HSBC Global Private Banking a.i.
