Standard Chartered unveils sports investing fund for wealthy clients

The fund focuses on sports, media, and entertainment opportunities.

Standard Chartered has launched an alternative fund focused on sports.

With this, ultra-high net worth (UHNW) and high net worth (HNW) clients under its Global Private Bank can participate in sports investing.

The newly launched fund, managed by a leading global alternative investment manager, focuses on sports, media and entertainment opportunities.

Recent high-profile sports-related transactions amongst leading family offices have further spurred sports investing as an alternative asset class for UHNW individuals, according to Standard Chartered.

“The steady revenue generating model in sports has been gaining the interest of private investors,” the bank said in a press release.
