CIMB's digital bank in the Philippines hits 500,000-customer milestone

The two are planning to expand their suite of financial services.

CIMB Bank Philippines will be expanding its partnership with e-payments platform GCash after the userbase of its digital banking platform grew to 500,000, according to a press release.

CIMB Bank PH also announced that the GSave bank account will be offered exclusively on the GCash platform and that they will progressively add a suite of financial services products to GCash in the future.

"The partnership with GCash was central to us achieving this milestone. It is a live case study of a bank-tech partnership, a combination of banking expertise and technology platform plays, and the opportunities it allows both parties to access," CIMB Group CEO Tengku Dato' Sri Zafrul Aziz said.
