HSBC Singapore lets customers use Apple Pay

Customers can enjoy US$3.5 off every Apple Pay transaction.

HSBC Visa and MasterCard credit cardholders can now make payments using Apple Pay in stores with Visa payWave of MasterCard contactless payment terminals in Singapore and overseas.

"Our findings show that awareness of contactless mobile payment is high amongst Singapore consumers (about 89%) and over alf indicated interest to try this new payment method," said Anurag Mathur, head of retail banking and wealth management, HSBC Singapore.

From now till 15 January 2017, customers can enjoy S$5 (US$3.5) off every Apple Pay transaction with their HSBC credit cards, with a minimum spend of S$10 (US$7) per transation.
