OCBC launches Google Pay P2P funds transfer service in Singapore

Customers can use PayNow to make real-time money transfer transactions.

OCBC has brought Google Pay’s P2P funds transfer service into Singapore, the third country in the world where the service is available, according to a news release.

The Google Pay app uses PayNow to enable an OCBC client to make real-time money transfers to all contacts who have linked their bank accounts to their mobile numbers.

In November 2019, the bank announced its partnership with Google to grant account-to-account PayNow fund transfers using an enhanced version of Google Pay.
