BPI launches refreshed mobile app
New clients can open an account within five minutes with just one valid ID.
The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has unveiled its new banking app.d
The new BPI Mobile app features a new design and new services not offered in the old app. These include the mobile check deposit; and AI-powered insights on savings and spending, amongst others, said Mariana Zobel de Ayala, BPI’s consumer bank marketing, platforms, and digital activation head.
Mobile check deposit, Real-time bill payment, cash withdrawal via QR, and the ability to save favorite transactions will all be rolled out in a future date.
The new app is key to BPI’s “phygital” approach in making the bank more accessible for more Filipinos through both physical branches and digital channels and platforms, said Maria Cristina Go, BPI head of consumer banking.

“Our customers have the option to bank with the app in tandem with BPI branches and ATMs—giving them a choice of their preferred channel with integrated services like online booking of branch visits or cashless withdrawal,” said Go.
New clients, meanwhile, can open a BPI #SaveUp account on the app within five minutes with just one ID.
“We’re proud of the new BPI app, and we know there’s room to continue improving. While we look at the best technology and digital solutions to ensure that we deliver excellent service, we anchor the designed experiences to what our customers need,” said BPI president and CEO Jose Teodoro “TG” Limcaoco.
The app is now available for download at the App Store and Google Play Store.
