
EastWest modernises retail and corporate operations with SaaS adoption
It expects to benefit the bank’s more than 3 million customers in the Philippines.
EastWest Banking Corporation is modernising its retail, SME, and corporate operations by adopting Temenos’ software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution.
The solution is expected to support a wide range of banking operations in EastWest, including customer accounts, deposits, lending, payments, and trade finance.
EastWest may also expand into new segments such as wealth management.
It is expected to benefit EastWest’s more than 3 million customers across 400 branches across the Philippines.
EastWest’s chief technology officer Barani Sundaram expects their adoption of Temenos’ SaaS to enable them to offer a more seamless and personalised banking experience, from their mobile app, branch network, and customer support channels.
“By modernizing our core banking systems, we are ensuring that we can continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers while staying agile in a fast-changing financial landscape,” Sundaram said.
