UnionDigitalBank, Capital A launch embedded finance services in the Philippines

Amongst services to be offered is the “Fly Now, Pay Later” flexible payment option.

UnionDigital Bank, the digital bank subsidiary of the Union Bank of the Philippines, has entered into a partnership with airline company and payment app operator Capital A.

The partnership will involve Capital A’s three key subsidiaries: namely AirAsia, airasia Superapp, and BigPay.

AirAsia is the airline business of Capital A, whilst airasia Superapp is the one-stop travel platform offering services from flights, hotels, ride-hailing, loyalty programs and more. 

BigPay, meanwhile, is the fintech arm providing accessible and secure digital financial services with the vision of improving financial wellbeing and accessibility in Southeast Asia.

UnionDigital Bank will provide embedded finance with BigPay within the airasia Superapp travel platform, which is the main booking channel for AirAsia flights in the Philippines.

Amongst services to be offered is the flexible payment option “Fly Now, Pay Later” and other exclusive co-branding deals.
