Citi to hire 200 bankers in next three years

Majority of the hires will be from China, Hong Kong, India, and Singapore.

The Asia Pacific division of Citi Commercial Bank is aiming to hire close to 350 people, including 200 commercial bankers in the region.

The majority of these hires will be placed in China, Hong Kong, India, and Singapore. CCB plans to hire about 80 people in China, 100 in Hong Kong, 80 in India, and 30 in Singapore.

According to CCB APAC head, Rajat Madhok, the region is home to a rapidly growing number of new and emerging corporates as well as mid-sized companies, all aggressively pursuing growth.

“Citi Commercial Bank is the ideal banking partner for these companies as we support their cross-border banking needs through our global network. These companies can also access Citi’s broader institutional expertise across cash management, trade, and financing opportunities as they address growth challenges and opportunities,” Madhok said.

Citi recently announced that it plans to expand its manpower globally by hiring 900 people in the next three years.
