MUFG Bank launches branch in India’s GIFT City

The bank now has six branches throughout India.

Japan’s MUFG Bank has begun operations at its branch in the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in India.

MUFG Bank first’s India branch was established in Mumbai in 1953. With the GIFT City branch opening, it now has six branches across India: in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Neemrana.

“Going forward, we will continue to strive to provide even more extensive and enriched financial services making the most of this network, the largest of any Japanese bank in India, so as to meet the diverse needs of our customers,” MUFG Bank said in a press release.

The branch is located on the 6th floor of the Brigade International Financial Center (BIFC).
