MUFG appoints Calvin Nguyen as director and head of global corporate banking in Vietnam

He was the previous global banking country head in Vietnam International Bank.

Calvin Nguyen clinched MUFG Bank’s newly-created role of director and head of global corporate banking in Vietnam as the bank moves to expand its footprint across Asia’s key markets.

The newly appointed director served as country head for global banking in Vietnam International Bank (VIB) prior to his new role. He had also been in HSBC, ANZ, and SMBC serving in senior positions.

In his new role, Nguyen will be responsible for coverage of local and global corporate clients in the country. He will directly report to Keiji Shiwa, MUFG Hanoi branch deputy general manager, as well as to Sanjiv Vohra, head of global corporate banking and co-head of investment banking for the Asia and Oceania region.
