Citi bolsters APAC DCM franchise with hires from HSBC and UBS

Anthony Yap joins Citi in Sydney whilst Maria Chua joins the bank in Hong Kong.

Citi has made two new appointments to its debt capital markets (DCM) franchise in the Asia Pacific region.

Anthony Yap will join as head of leveraged finance for Australia and New Zealand.

Yap will be based in Sydney. He joins from HSBC, where he was head of private capital group coverage and financing for Australia and New Zealand.

Maria Chua, meanwhile, joins Citi in Hong Kong as a director covering leveraged and syndicated loans in Southeast Asia.

Chua joins from UBS, where she was head of leveraged finance origination for Asia.

Both Yap and Chua report to Adrian Khoo and Deepak Dangayach, co-heads of DCM, Asia Pacific.
