Fiuu launches QR codes for cash-on-delivery payments
Users can receive packages from Pos Malaysia with cashless payments.
Fintech platform Fiuu partnered with Pos Malaysia and Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet) to implement QR payments for cash-on-delivery (COD) payments.
Customers can pay for their deliveries with just a simple scan of a QR code on their smartphones which eliminates the need for cash. This new payment option also supports the national push towards a cashless society, Fiuu said.
DuitNow QR is Malaysia’s national QR standard, developed by PayNet and over 6,000 Pos Malaysia riders across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak will be equipped to collect COD payments digitally.
DuitNow QR is compatible with cross-border e-wallet and mobile banking services, including Alipay+, Weixin Pay, UnionPay QR, QRIS, NETS, and PromptPay, Fiuu said.
Pos Malaysia, the country’s national mail carrier, delivers over 30 million parcels annually.
