PCG, Black Bear Merchant Services team up to launch AbbyPay

It plans to expand to Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The Payment Cards Group Limited (PCG) and Black Bear Merchant Services Limited have partnered to launch AbbyPay, a new brand and group holding company.

AbbyPay will leverage PCG's extensive network as a member of major card schemes, including Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, UnionPay, and JCB, whilst integrating PCG's advanced digital payment technology via its A3A platform.

This cloud-based payment processing and settlement system provides direct, end-to-end processing capabilities with major card schemes and supports integration with e-wallet networks and mobile payment platforms.

The partnership aims to boost PCG's market share by catering to 50,000 local merchants in Hong Kong, addressing diverse market needs. Additionally, AbbyPay plans to expand its reach in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
