Philippine-based Netbank launches all-in-one financial app for overseas workers

Filipino foreign workers can remit and send money to the Philippines at a lower cost.

The Philippine-based financial services company, Netbank, has launched Netizen, a mobile banking app touted as a “one-stop banking solution” for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

Through their remittance partner, Wise, OFWs can directly remit to their Netizen app without high fees. Users can also transfer funds to their family’s bank accounts and e-wallets in the Philippines, pay family bills and government contributions, and conduct top-ups.

The app also offers time deposit products.

In the following months, Netbank plans to roll out cash in and out options, investment products, and the option to send money via cardless withdrawal.

Users can look forward to Netizen’s medical features such as Personal Accident and Life Insurance.

The Netizen app is currently available in the Philippines and Malaysia, with Netbank floating plans to launch in other countries, as well.
