UnionBank hits 2 million credit cards in circulation

It also claims the highest Visa credit payment volume among Philippine banks in 2025.

Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) has reached 2 million credit cards in circulation in 2026.

The bank also said that it recorded the highest Visa credit payment volume in the Philippines in 2025.

The volume, undisclosed by UnionBank, shows increasing credit card usage for everyday spending amongst Filipinos, the bank said.

“As more Filipinos become mindful on how they manage their budgets, this recognition highlights the growing importance of secure and flexible payment options in daily life,” said Mukul Sukhani, head of cards and loans at UnionBank.

More Filipinos are using their UnionBank Credit Cards for groceries, electronics, and online purchases, UnionBank said.
