Chan appointed PayPal VP for Asia Pacific

PayPal appointed Lawrence Chan as Vice President for its Asia Pacific New Ventures organisation.

He was concurrently appointed General Manager for PayPal's Southeast Asia and India business.

Based in Singapore, Chan will lead the regional business strategy, sales, partnerships and merchant adoption of PayPal'S newest payment innovations to transform commerce, from mobile to digital goods to PayPal here.

Chan will also be responsible for developing PayPal into an online and mobile payments leader, as well as expanding the company's geographic reach in Southeast Asia and India.

Chan has a BSc in Industrial Business Economics from the University of London's School of Economic and Political Science, and has 17 years' financial services industy experience.
