Mashreq honoured at Asian Banking & Finance Retail Banking Awards 2025

The financial institution earned an accolade for transforming priority banking with seamless digital simplicity.

Mashreq clinched the Customer Experience Initiative of the Year - UAE category at the Asian Banking & Finance Retail Banking Awards 2025 in recognition of its 1-Click MashreqVerse.

1-Click MashreqVerse is an innovative digital servicing platform built to meet the unique needs of Priority Banking customers. It addresses the long-standing challenges around complexity, trust, and convenience in high-value digital transactions.

Many customers enjoy digital convenience for everyday banking, although high-net-worth individuals often show hesitation over it, especially when it involves large transactions. Concerns over complex processes, impersonal experiences, and the desire for Relationship Manager (RM) involvement have traditionally kept many away from using digital channels for key services.

Turning these pain points into a powerful innovation opportunity, Mashreq introduced 1-Click MashreqVerse. With the platform, customers can complete complex transactions with zero data entry, complete visibility of their RM’s support, and full system-driven accuracy from the Mashreq App.

Whether it’s placing deposits, setting up savings, or executing foreign exchange transactions, customers now enjoy a one-click journey that’s quick, paperless, and stress-free. 

Amongst the currently available services under 1-Click MashreqVerse is the 1-Click Deposit. Place term deposits in AED, USD, GBP, or EUR—fixed, unfixed, or Wakala—at preferential rates, all in one tap. The RM discusses and sets up the request via the Face App, then rate is approved on MS Power Automate. A pre-filled offer is sent to the customer’s app. The customer then logs in and clicks once for the transaction to be done.

The platform also offers 1-Click Bespoke Savings Account, where customers can open a personalised savings account in any of nine currencies (including AED, USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, SAR, QAR, and BHD) with an instant negotiated rate. With this, the RM secures a bespoke rate and initiates setup. An offer is approved via MS Power Automate, then the customer receives the offer and confirms with one click.

The 1-Click MashreqVerse has the 1-Click FX (Foreign Exchange) as well, which boasts effortless currency conversion and fund transfers at a preferred exchange rate. This can be achieved in just three steps: RM books the FX deal and sets up the transfer; a pre-filled request is sent to the customer’s app; then the transaction is executed with a single click.

1-Click MashreqVerse is deemed a game-changer because of its zero data entry for customers, 24/7 availability, fully straight-through processing (STP), completely digital and paperless approach, audit-ready approval workflows powered by Microsoft Power Automate, trusted RM-led service with full digital ease, as well as smart, secure, and error-free transactions.
