Mastercard to lead Indonesian fintech Digiasia's Series B funding

Digiasia offers digital financial services to individuals and MSMEs.

Mastercard will lead the Series B funding round of the Indonesian fintech firm Digiasia Bios, according to a news release.

The bank will grant capital and strategic support as Digiasia develops its suite of digital financial services for individuals and MSMEs.

Digiasia is affiliated with e-wallet payment platform KasPro, MSMEs P2P lending platform KreditPro, and digital remittance service RemitPro.

The funding amount remains undisclosed as of press time.

In addition to working with fledgling fintechs, Mastercard has been running its Academy 2.0 programme since end-2019, which aims to impart digital knowledge and skills to different segments of the Indonesian population.
