TransferWise partners with Alipay

The platform will grant instant money transfers to China in 17 currencies.

London-based online money transfer platform TransferWise is partnering with Chinese mobile payments giant Alipay to grant instant transfers to China, according to a news release.

The service will be available in 17 currencies and will just require the recipient's name and Alipay ID

The move bolsters TransferWise’s Asian expansion following its entrance into the Indonesian and Philippine markets late last year.
