This was in line with their journey of boosting the region’s SDGs.

Bangladesh-headquartered Nagad said it averaged $111m daily transactions and registered 80 million customers.

In a press statement, the mobile money carrier said this aligned with their journey to boosting the region’s sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Nagad also said it aims to support the underserved and the underbanked through its digital financial inclusion services.

Additionally, Nagad has digitised government-to-person (G2P) payments, including social safety allowances and education stipends, ensuring faster, more efficient, and transparent disbursements.
